You can retrieve the sample chapter from POST EXPOSURE in two forms: as ordinary HTML files and as an Acrobat PDF file. If you have Acrobat Reader version 2 or higher (available as freeware from many sources), I strongly recommend you download the PDF file and read it off-line.
The HTML version includes the book's Table of Content, Introduction, and the complete text of Chapter 9, "Tricks of the Trade." In order to insure it would be readable by any browser I had to split it into two parts -- we've discovered that some browsers will choke on really large HTML pages with lots of images to download. There's no clever formatting or fancy use of fonts; it contains only GIF image files and HTML Level 2 tags. I kept the illustrations small to minimize the download time; still, there's over half a megabyte of data to load for each part!
The Acrobat file contains everything that's in the HTML version. It also includes material not in the HTML version--the complete front matter, the index, and the back cover copy. The illustrations are larger and of higher quality. The Acrobat version duplicates the layout and fonts of the book so that you can see what POST EXPOSURE actually looks like. It will take no longer to download than to load the HTML version.
Whichever version you select, I hope you enjoy what you read and find it helpful.
